Volunteers make a huge contribution to the day to day running of the museum and we simply wouldn’t be able to achieve all that we do without them. Our small and friendly team of volunteers undertake various roles in all aspects of the business including greeting visitors, processing shop sales, answering historical enquiries, managing, documenting, and looking after the museums collection in conjunction with the Curator. We also occasionally need people to help deliver special events or education workshops.
Volunteers are always made to feel welcome and part of the museum team. Time commitments of volunteers vary depending on the role undertaken but if you have some spare time on your hands and would like to use your knowledge, experience and skills to benefit the museum and its’ visitors then we would like to hear from you.
