Individual memorials
The museum has three pieces in its collection which have been made as memorials to individual soldiers with photographs inserted into the panel. In two cases these are woolwork panels echoing the design of other pieces in the collection: regimental colours and emblems and heraldic foliage. The design of the third has similar elements though it is embroidered on black velvet. Pieces with simiar insets for memorial photographs can be found in other Museums' collections.
