About Event:

During October half term 27th October - 31st October, the museum will have an additional display looking at the story of Winne the Pooh author, A.A. (Alan Alexander) Milne. 10 years before writing that famous book, Milne served as a Signals Officer in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment during the Somme offensive of the First World War. We retell the dramatic story of his time on the frontline in northern France.

There will be the chance to dress as a Signal Officer, like Milne, and handle real WWI objects which would have been familiar to him. There will be a range of family activities including the chance to enter a Winnie the Pooh art competition with prizes to be won!
