About Event:

Hannah Snell - The Female Warrior

A second chance to hear the remarkable story of Hannah Snell, an 18th century woman who disguised herself as a man to join the Sixth of Foot Regiment in Coventry. Her five years as a soldier and a marine fighting the French in India made Hannah a celebrity. A best-selling book followed and stint on the West End stage. This talk will explore Hannah's remarkable journey and consider her significance in breaking the norms of the society she lived in.
