Talks: The Royal Warwickshire Regiment & D-Day

7 Jun 2025
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
£12.00

About Event:

This special talk event is to commemorate the D Day anniversary - the official regimental day of the former Royal Warwickshire Regiment and still recognised as a special commemoration by the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers today.

Two speakers will explore fascinating aspects of the D Day landings through the eyes of those who were there - Tony Bray will describe the actions of the airborne glider pilot divisions who prepared the ground for the land forces. The second speaker is Jon Davy whose detailed research has led to the creation of a wonderful visual presentation of the Royal Warwickshire Regiment in 1944 from Sword Beach to across Normandy.

Light refreshments will be served.

There is wheelchair access and an accessible toilet on site.
