Victorian Needlework from Domestic Decoration to Military Insignia

The Victorian needlework period saw great changes in design, techniques, material, threads and dyes used. In this talk Lucy will explore the diverse styles to find out how the Victorian shaped needlework for all.

Lucy Barter is an experienced conservator and researcher with a love of Victorian embroidery. She graduated from the Royal School of Needlework Apprenticeship Programme in 2006 and holds a BA Honours Degree in Fashion Design.
